Company Milestones


1999
Nacho Hernandez, begins a new business plan project with his father to sell authentic Mexican products online. They founded the company in February 24, 2000 and offically open the store MexGrocer.com in September 15 of the same year.


2002
By this year, MexGrocer.com is running almost on automatic pilot. Therefore, having found success targeting Anglo and Hispanic users via the search engines, affiliate networks and strategic relationships, iHispanic's founder, Nacho Hernandez, begins sharing with other business owners through independent consulting watching those companies reach positive similar results.


2003
Nacho meets with Danny Sullivan, editor of SearchEngineWatch.com, and Barbara Coll (Webmama) along with other friends and colleagues to make an effort teaching the industry about search engine marketing to the U.S. Hispanic market. During the first SEMPO meeting, Nacho joins and supports as a founding member. By later that year in SES Chicago 2004, Barbara, Nacho, Lucas Morea (founder of Monografias.com and CEO of LatinEdge) along with Matt Whitely (Business Development Director of TeRespondo.com) give the first conference on the topic "SEM En Español".


2004
By the time SES New York came around, Nacho focuses his consulting efforts primarily for U.S. Hispanic and Latin America to carve a market niche. In March 19 2004, Nacho creates the new brand name iHispanic Marketing Group and regisers domain name ihispanic.com for doing DBA in his consulting efforts.


2005
Demand for search engine marketing services focused for the U.S. Hispanic market grew and iHispanic along side it. In May of this year, indipendent investor Eduardo Valades buys in partnership to grow the firm into an international level. He immediately joins as president the new company gets established as iHispanic Marketing Group LLC. This new partnership is a beginning of a successful series of new ventures.

iHispanic joins the SMA-NA through a corporate membership to help support the growth of the industry. The company also grows into Latin America focusing primarily in Mexico, Costa Rica and Argentina. It joined the IAB Mexico as part of first members and gets invited to the Search Committe's founding group. The year ended with incredible milestones and outstanding sales that exceeded the company's objectives.
